When I’m not wearing my cyber-hero cape, I have an eclectic mix of hobbies that bring joy and balance to my life. Making music and mastering the art of Brazilian jiu-jitsu are two of my personal pursuits that keep me energized and creative. And of course, I always make time to fine-tune the content on this very site, because sharing my knowledge and experiences with you is a top priority.
With over two decades of experience in cybersecurity and information security, as well as a diverse background in infrastructure management, application development, and IT program and project management, I bring a holistic perspective to my work. I hold a master’s degree in computer information systems and have obtained numerous certifications that underscore my commitment to excellence. As a Certified Chief Information Security Officer (C|CISO) and with multiple SABSA security architecture certifications, amongst others, I pride myself on staying at the forefront of industry best practices.
I’ve also explored niche areas like ICS security and cloud security through dedicated training and hands-on experience. My pursuit of knowledge even led me to embark on a Ph.D. journey, which, while currently on hold, speaks to my unwavering desire to push the boundaries of innovation and technology in the realm of cybersecurity.
